Hi! I grew up in Riverside CA (and UCLA). I spent 13 years in St. Louis before moving to Annapolis, MD. So, when should we expect you to arrive on the east coast?
    ;-)

Damn!! I never realized we had this in common, Deb, but my big brother used to live in Navato before he retired from the Air Force. Small world. Glad you could make it. I love that pic of you. Cool shades. And Newt beat me here to spread the Crimespace love. How cool is he?!!
  • Debbie Behrens

Hi, Newt, as a matter of fact I'll be on the east coast for 2 weeks in July.

Hey, Jordan...Novato, what a great place to grow up. You're brother and I may have been neighbors...you never know.
  • Jordan Dane

Thrillerfest is in Manhattan July 12-15. You going? You could get a day pass. Damn, I wish I was going!!!
  • Robin Burcell

Thanks for the invite, Debbie! Love the Novato area. Book Passage is right there!

Hey Deb--Came by to warn you about a cyberstalker named Keith Spence. Shhhhh! I think he's close by. I'm keeping an eye on him.

I totally agree with you about strong female leads. All my heroines are strong minded. The lead in Widow's Walk and Lady Lightkeeper is a strong minded woman in the 1840's and 1850's Cape Ann :) She stirs things up and has made a real impression on readers and reviewers. She's been a lot of fun to get to know :)

Especially the strong minded and independent women - no matter what time period they live in :) Although there is speculation about my villains, since many of them are women :)

I've tried and I can't write a book with a weak heroine. And forget having the hero rush in to save her...I like to have HER save HIM. LOL

Debbie, Thank you re THE FOLLOWER...It's great to meet you here.

    Hi Debbie,

Nice to find a fellow Okie on the list. Hope you're in the "dry" part of the state. If there is such a thing this summer.

    Best Wishes,

Hi Debbie! I am the proud owner of a vintage 1973 TR6! My very first car ever was a TR6. For my (ahem, major milstone birthday), my dad tracked it down and tried to restore it, but it was too far gone. So he presented me with a beautiful TR6 (midnight blue) that looked as if it had just rolled off the showroom floor. What a great b-day! Triumphs rule! My protagonist drives a vintage TR6, natch.

I had a Triumph years ago...the kind where the lights pop up. Well they kept popping up as thought the car has a will of its own. I keep trying to fit it into one of my mystery stories.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.
