Hi Meredith,
Sounds like you had a very busy tour through Florida! No wonder, you've had some excellent reviews on Ladykiller! Keep up the good work! A boxer, huh? Guess I better watch my step. But welcome to my circle anyway.
Russ
Thanks for the note about my site, Meredith, although I'm sure you'd have worked it all out anyway. I had a great time putting those resources together, and a lot of would-be writers have written to say it's proved helpful. But when someone who's already a novelist finds it useful, I feel even better.
Tim
Thanks for the invitation. I love your taste in books and movies. It made me remember a few I'd forgotten.
You are the first woman I've heard of who boxes. I started, just so I'd have decent looking arms. I love it!
Thanks for the invite, Meredith! And thanks for reminding me about "Twin Peaks."
When I worked the night desk at the Boston Globe (ancient days), we used to make up phony obit headlines for each other (you know, like, Tom Jones, Sang for Panties...). Anyway, my favorite of all of mine was "Understood Twin Peaks."
Your list of favourite movies has inspired me to check out some of them again. I love the Cohen Brothers films, especially The Big Lebowsky. I like how there's the theme of kidnapping running through so many of their films, but each treated so very differently. And Rashomon, what a great choice.
The film that I can't believe I left off my own favourites was Blade Runner.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those... moments will be lost… in time… like… tears… in rain. [Pause] Time... to die."
I'll have to have a movies afternoon this weekend, methinks.
Hi Meredith, thank you for the friends invite. I must visit your website ASAP. I am feeling a little behind the times with out a web page. Another thing to add to my to do list.
Meredith,
Greetings from Cape Coral, FL. Thanks for being my friend on crimespace. You have a very impressive resume. I've never been "up North." I'm a Georgia gal myself.
Hi Meredith
Good to meet you! Like your list of writers, TV and movies. You missed off Raising Arizona from your Coen Bros list! I know you didn't mean to ...
Thanks for the invite. We could definitely hang out on the couch together and watch movies and shows. I was addicted to Twin Peaks and grew up reading MAD. I am glad to see you have Giles Blunt on your list. I recently read his Blackfly Season and I enjoyed it immensely, I am going to put him on my list too. AND you take boxing, I think you are my new hero honey. Next time you're on the West Coast skip through a little lower into Vancouver and I will buy you a drink. Looking forward to reading your book.
Hi Meredith.
Your page is far fuller than mine. Wonderful responses to "Ladykiller", you must be thrilled. I'll be interested to read about your books tour,
Goldie Alexander
Hi Meredith
Thanks for your contact. I found this website by accident a few days ago & signed up. I'm a 71 year old veteran & primarily interested in occasionally checking what's going on in the genre. Read your bio. Congrats. All the best, Marshall Browne
I am looking forward to availing myself of this site. I joined Sisters in Crime a couple of months ago--not that I will ever write a novel, but I just enjoy mingling with those that do.
Hi Meredith
Hope you're well. I'm pleased to say Reaper is now available in the States on amazon.com at $16.99. In advanced search type Dunne for author and Reaper for title. Hope you take a look and spread the word. How are things with you?
Best wishes
Steve D
Hi Meredith! Thanks for adding me to your line-up of friends. I look forward to finding out more about you and your work (a new Nick and Nora sounds wonderful to me). I hope you’ll check out my new thriller, IM, about a serial killer preying on gay men using Internet hookup sites.
Thank you for the invitation. Your bio has to be the most diverse and interesting I have ever seen anywhere. You make Heminngway look like he spent his life siting on his hands.
Thanks for the invite, Meredith. I see you're also a "Twin Peaks" fan--excellent! One thing I didn't list in my favorite TV shows were all the old shows I loved, and that was one of them. Along with "The Prisoner," "Secret Agent Man," "Mannix," "Honey West" and "The Avengers," to name a few.
Hi! Still getting used to the way this works. I thought I had already added by sending a message, but since I don't see it, I'll just thank you for taking time from your busy schedule and inviting me! I look forward to reading your blog!
Thanks for adding me Meredith. Sounds like we enjoy similar shows and you made me realize I forgot to include early Woody Allen movies as my faves. How could I forget "Annie Hall?"
Thanks for the invite! I see you are a fellow New Yorker. I was born in Brooklyn and grew up on L.I. My dad was a NYC cop. I consider myself northern/southern. I love the city and the snow but the climate in NC is great. I never know which I like better. I try to get to NY when I am feeling homesick. Good to meet you!
Hi, Meredith, thanks for the friendship. I am happy to meet so many people with similar interests. I like your taste in movies, too. I consider 'Blade Runner' , though I didn't mention it on my page (who could list all of the good or even great films in their life in such a limited venue?) as one of my favorites, too. And you're a boxer, too. Maybe you'll challenge Ali's daughter one day. I'll be happy to hold your coat for you. You'll find me standing over here, near the exit door. No, over here at the one a little farther away. Can you hear me from there?
Rabbi Jacobs
Thank you for inviting me, or welcoming me on board. I just joined today, and have had met a lot of wonderful people.
I'm not exactly sure how to navigate, yet, but I'm learning.
Thank you for the welcome. I'm located at Rabbi Jacobs, on CrimeSpace. Hope to stay in touch.
