Hi, Bruce -- Thanks for the invitation. I'm with you on Will Thomas -- I love those books. And having a rewrite produced is nothing to be half-heartedly proud of -- I was actually HIRED to write screenplays and not a word ever saw the light of film. The checks cleared, though.

Yeah, Bruce, I agree. I think Crimespace is serving a wonderful niche here and am so grateful to Daniel for starting it.

    my best . . .

Hi Bruce, thanks for the invite. I have an unfinished screenplay....I hope to go back to, it's what I do for fun once in a while. So I am also impressed with a rewrite! Screenwriting is hard, it is even more straight-jacketed with structure than genre writing.

    Hi, Bruce --

Thanks so much for the nice words about A NAIL THROUGH THE HEART. It means so much to me when someone enjoys something I've written. I spend the better part of a year hammering away at a keyboard trying to entertain the imaginary "ideal reader" sitting across from me, and when someone real weighs in with a positive reaction, it gets me all fired up to continue writing.

Just saw the jacket for THE FOURTH WATCHER, and it's killer. As soon as the people at Morrow say it's okay to do so, I'll post it.

    Thanks again.

I know what you mean about aspiring.... same here...:)

Does my blog count as writing time? Oy.

You are wicked. ;-) No wonder you hide behind a cartoon character. LOL.
  • Robin Burcell

Hey Bruce! Thanks for the invite! I'll wave at you next time I'm passing thru Pleasanton on my way to the City! Oh, and BTW, not sure if you heard, but {{{sob}}} Dresden Files has been canceled. :-(
  • Jeff Sherratt

    Hi Bruce,
My daughter lives in Berkeley, so I drive though Pleasanton quite often. I love it up there. Thanks for putting me on your list of favorite authors. I'm in the "many others" group, I'm sure...lol.

  • Caro Soles

I Bruce. I love New Orleans. I just arrived here on Crimespace and it seems a friendly place.

Caro, whi should be writing. :)
  • Victor J. Banis

Bruce, Like Caro, I just arrived here but it does seem like a cool place to hangout. I just finished reading Caro's Drag Queen in the Court of Death, by the way - highly recommended. I've been writing for nearly half a century (of course, I started when I was 3) but screenwriting is almost the only thing I haven't tried - maybe one of these days. I keep learning new tricks, pretty good for an old dog, huh?
  • Jana Oliver

    Thanks for the invite!
  • Mark Coggins

    Bruce,

Thank you, too, for the kind words about RUNOFF. I really appreciate your picking up one of the suckers to read!

    All best,
    MC
