Look! It's that thoughtful David Corbett guy. Hi, David!
  • David Corbett

great. Just what I need--more things to suck up my time from writing. Laura: I forgot about the Cinci connection. You have any homefolk you can send to my reading at Jospeh-Beth on April 14th, 1 PM? Not to sound like I'm begging, but I'm begging.
  • Laura Benedict

Yes! I'm sending Mom and Dad--please pretend you think I'm a nice person who doesn't hang out in bars....I'm so glad I got to be your first friend. But, of course, this means I'll be pushed off your page in about five minutes. *sigh* That's me, always at the bottom of the pile.
  • Jeremy Lynch

What kind of author would David be if he did not hang out in bars?
  • David Corbett

If I don't get to people's emails, please forgive. Just started the book tour. Things be a bit crazed here.
  • David J. Montgomery

Yep, I got the book David, thanks. I'll confess, I haven't read it yet. But at least I have it!
  • Vince Keenan

Hi, David. It was a pleasure meeting you briefly at LCC. Can't wait to dig into Blood of Paradise.
  • Lori G. Armstrong

    Heyo David-

Had anybody call you by the wrong name lately? I'd blame it on a blond moment, but hey, I think it was the booze :)

Congrats on the new book being out.......
  • Angie

    Hi, David! That's it...just hello & welcome.
  • Jon Jordan

    Dude,

    You are totally inked.
    It's an interesting look.
  • Tim Maleeny

    David, you look different.
    It's the moustache, isn't it?
  • Carol Davis Luce

Hello David, it's a great pleasure to meet you. Good luck with the book tour.
  • Laura Benedict

Hey, you know you'll never get into the Corps looking like that, now!

    (I got my ARCs! Woo-Hoo!)
  • Jeremy Lynch

Hope the tour is going well. I look forward to seeing you on Friday....next Friday that is.
  • David Corbett

I see I have all these friends. Like, now what? I'm supposed to send birthday cards? (Don't hold your breath, gang.) I'm flattered people want to be my virtual pal, but will you be there if my car breaks down? Will you get me home from the bar if I'm just a wee bit loaded? Will you loan me twnety bucks? Now? Please? (I'll take my answers off the air.)
  • Donna Moore

David, I'll definitely be there if your car breaks down. Not sure what you want ME to do about it though - I can't even change a light bulb. $20? sure! Will £11.43 sterling do you?

Just got my copy of BLOOD OF PARADISE - can't wait!

Hi David. I'm 100 pages into The Devil's Redhead. I keep asking myself how I missed this one as I have been reading crime fiction for 20 years. Interstingly, I've been an Oncology Nurse for all that time. So here is the deal...you keep writing great crime fiction and I'll keep caring for people with cancer. Your dedication in Redhead was very moving and made me even more interested in this book. Simply said, I'm moved by your writing, which isn't an easy accomplishment. It will be weird writing a review for a book first published a few years back, but if it means leading more people to your work, I'll do it. Great work!
  • Sophie Littlefield

but of course! Never forget - I found your words before I ever found you and they spoke not volumes but entire libraries :)
  • Michael Warden

I am a bit curious is the picture of one of your characters??
  • Michael Warden

    Hey David,
Looks just like a guy I arrested years ago….scary to say the least. He’s certainly one that could inspire many stories.
  • Batya Deene

How many years did it take to get all those tattoos? I'm thinking about getting a luck line tattood on my palm as I don't seem to have one and could use a bit of luck in my life. I have fond memories of Madison, WI. If you imbibe anything other than chocolate milk, be careful of the Lincoln Statue. He tends to get chatty at night. Hmmm....Mifflin Street.
  • Batya Deene

OK who is Darren Laws, and how in the world do I properly use this Website?
  • Michael Warden

    Morning David,

It was for 11357 H&S (Drugs) possesion & DUI. He'd wrecked his car and was loaded. It was when I was working at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard about 1989 or so. I am sure he was one of the local bangers, "F Troop" I think, I am not 100% sure.
I worked the graves 2300-0700 and got to deal with the real fun folks :) Worked that shift almost two years before I got onto the day shift.
Most of the garbage I delt with had to do with the military guys but occasionally we ran into these types.
