About Me:
I was born in Detroit, that's how I first got hooked on Elmore Leonard. I am also a professional musician and screenwriter. I had done corporate sales and author events for years at Borders and went on to publish actor Michael Madsen's poetry and photography under 13 Hands Publications. I released my first mystery novel: Deathryde: Rebel Without a Corpse in 2008 ( Available on Amazon published by Gilded Hearse Press ) it is written in the hip, offbeat style of Carl Hiaasen, Gregory Mcdonald (Fletch) Donald E. Westlake and, of course, Elmore Leonard.

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for the invite. Love the sound of the book - offbeat is always good :o)
  • Donna Moore

Evelyn Waugh, Elmore Leonard and Carl Hiaasen???? I DEFINITELY need to look out for it!
  • JackBludis

Good stuff all around, and any friend of Donna is a friend of mine.
  • Kandy Williams

Play Misty for Me...filmmaking at its finest. What was it like to work with Michael Madsen? He's done some intense work.
  • Michael P. Naughton

    Hi Kandy,
One of my favorite films-- stills hold up today. Jessica Walters was outstanding in that film.
Madsen is the real deal. He is a cool guy and has been great to work with. I am fortunate to know him through his poetry-- his words-- rather than a script-- someone elses' words. He's a tough guy, but he also has a big heart.

    Hi Michael,

I really admire the way you've persevered with Deathryde, it would have been som much easier to move on to something else and left it niggling and undead at the back of your brain. Good luck, and thanks for the add, Alison
  • Michael P. Naughton

    Hi Alison,
Thank you for your encouragement and kind words. Deathryde's long road continues as I pursue the film... I got a chance to check out Scream ( loved it!) Discovered this retro group called The Staggers-- check 'em out ( I'd hire them). I look forward to reading your books.
