For a cozy mystery author like myself, I would say that the Malice Domestic conference is the best, though I've also gone to Left Coast Crime and Mayhem in the Midlands, and am attending my first Bouchercon this fall.

Will likely mss B-Con for various reasons as much as I'd like to be on hand. I am still editing the works of others but my RATE has had to go up to 2.50 per page, but the Knife gets the job done.

Wow, I'm flattered you asked me for advice. My endings stop the novel 99.9% of the way through. There should be a little tail wagging in the breeze, making the reader wonder what happens from there. Wrapping everything up 100% isn't as interesting. If you're stuck and don't know how the novel will end, well, that's a different story. A little mental lubrication helps. Also, putting the WIP down for a bit is a catch-all trick no matter the problem.

Our youngest child is from China, so we were there in 2003. Loved the landscape, especially in the South. Amazing. Naturally, I also did a lot of other research into history and culture. We're lucky to have a very large Chinese community where I live, so that part wasn't as hard as you might think. Have a great day!
