    Nikki,

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the article. There's another on Dashiell Hammett's apartment in the same section of my web site if you're interested.

I've read those articles as well, Mark. Really got a kick out of them. Glad to have you on board at Crimespace.

    Daniel,

Thanks for building Crimespace ... it's a great idea.

From one software guy to another (poker machines for me), Ning did all the hard work. I just ... set the mood.

Hi, Mark! I'm loving this place - hearing about some new writers to check out. Like the idea of a jazz PI.
  • Mark Coggins

    Angie,

Glad the character appeals ... by the way, I grew up in AZ. I have a friend from high school who lives in Prescott.
  • Elizabeth Dearborn

Hi Mark, thanks for the invite! I'm meeting so many interesting people here. I'll look for your books.
  • Craig Larson

Mark, thanks for sending me a friend invite. I've read and enjoyed your novel The Immortal Game.

    Mark,

Very enjoyable blog! I especially love your thoughts on writing the PI novel!
  • Novel Gobbler

Hey there, thanks for the invite!
  • JANE PADRUTT

    Hi,
I can't wait to read your PI series! My husband and I are both huge Robert Parker fans--I even met him at the National Book Festival in DC. Even better that your hero is jazz bassist. My son plays bass in Jazz Band at school. Thanks for inviting me.
  • Harris Channing

    You're welcome. Thanks for accepting!
  • Pari Noskin Taichert

    Mark,
Isn't this a great community? We have the chance to meet so many people with similar interests. Looking forward to learning more about you and your books.
  • Pari Noskin Taichert

Do you really drink Maker's Mark? It's pretty good, but I'm an Oban or Glenlivet girl myself.

The next Sasha book -- after the one I'm writing right now -- will take place in Farmington/Four Corners and will explore the energy industry.

Of course, I've got to finish the two books I'm working on right now.

Hi, I think I wrote on your blog today. Didn't know you were on this. I was wondering if you might know of any reference books that deal with late 1940's private eyes, their case loads, constraints--no freedom of info how did they check around for example. i'd appreciate it. thank you.
  • carole gill

oops didn't even realise you were my friend! great! my excuse for being in a muddle is I wrote all day today. It's nearly 11pm here and I just came back to go on this site!
  • Maryann Mercer

Thanks for the invitation :o) Great camera! I will definitely look forward to chatting with you. Have a great weekend by the way!
  • Jamie Livingston

Thanks for the invite. It looks like you write my kind of book. I'm heading to Amazon with a list.

Hi Mark...from the clue you left in your head-shot, I deduce that you are a...photographer! Wonderful! I've been a theater photographer for years, but now I mostly use my new digital for the stories/articles I write for my local newspaper (well, and family & vacation pix). Your books sound cool - I'll have to check them out. I have a close friend who plays bass (and tuba, of all things) for musical theatre.
  • Jackie Houchin

"Auto" works too. Whatever gets you what you want to see. But experiment a little.
  • Jamie Livingston

    Hey Mark,
I just ordered Candy from Strangers from Amazon. I went to college in the Silicon Valley, San Jose State University. I've reached my weekly limit on book purchases, so I have your others wish listed for next week. I spend money on books like other women spend money on shoes.

Thanks (personally and professionally) for the information you mailed about RUNOFF. The information will be put to good use . . . Ann the Overbooked
  • Bruce Findleton

Just finished 'Runoff'. Another excellent outing for Riordan and Chris. Thanks for another great read.
  • Beverly J. Rowe

Thanks for the invitation. I haven't read any of your books, but they look like exactly the kind of books I love to read. I'll go to Amazon and check them out....I'm an incurable book-buyer.
  • Allan E. Ansorge

Is Makers a block remover or a room deoderant?
  • L.J. Sellers

    HI again Mark
Might as well be friends all over cyberspace.
  • Lia

    Hiya

    Thanks for the invite !
