Cindy Daniel is the author of the DEATH WARMED OVER mysteries, and served as 2005 & 2006 Southwest Chapter President of the Mystery Writers of America, and 2004 Internet Chapter President of Sisters in Crime.
She has published two books in the Death Warmed Over series, and just released her first non-fiction book - It’s Not About You! a mother and daughter’s journey through breast cancer; a book she co-wrote with her 26-year-old daughter.
She’s currently at work creating two new mystery series: Mad Moms In Minivans, and the Emma Tate – Mistaken Identity series.
Cindy lives in Rockwall, Texas where she and her husband Jeff share a house with three rescue dogs and one brave cat.

Hi,
Thanks for wrtiing. I’m looking forward to sharing writing experiences with you.
I have “finished” a mystery novel, still needing some fact checking and editing. My plan is to hire an editor and then put it on a print and demand website such as lulu.com.
Reason: I don’t want the hassle of trying to sell and promote it. Yet don’t want it to land in a drawer, as some kind of hobby product. I like writing but not promoting and I have no illusions about acquiring fame or fortune by being accepted by a publisher.
(I've had three non-fiction books published.)
I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks for responding,
Joan
Oh my gosh. 98? You go, girl! And I go in on the 1st for yet another biopsy. Old hat for me, but still. On one hand I think about my pattern, hoping it holds. On the other hand I wonder what's happening to my odds. You just keep rockin', Cindy. Love it!
Delighted to join your Crimespace Friends list. A very interesting profile and web page. Glad to see we share mystery writing and surviving cancer. I look forward to learning more about you here on Crimespace...and hopefully vice-versa.
Hi Cindy Daniel. Congratulations to the breast cancer survivor. We know what that's all about and celebrate all successes. So, if your daughter is 26, I am thinking you are not 98 as your profile indicates......
Hi Cindy - I was typing a note and checking out your website at the same time when I lost track of the message - I hope this doesn't appear twice! Anyhow, thanks for adding me to your list of friends. By your photo on your site, you look closer to 20 than 100:)

AWell, it's about time you got over here. It was SOooo much fun meeting you again in Dallas at the MWA annual con. And thanks for getting me on some great panels. I had loads of fun and you sure worked hard to provide a wonderful experience for all attendees. You're the best!!!! Love, ya, gal! MUAH
I'm delighted to be your friend, Cindy. It's been a while since we met at Cape Fear Crime Festival, but I've enjoyed your Death Warmed Over books. I look forward to the new series.
Hi, Cindy. Welcome to the criminal space. Haven't run into you in awhile, but hopefully that will change in the near future. For the rest of 2007 we're doing Killer Nashville and Magna cum Murder. Good luck with the books (and writing).
Hi Cindy, how nice to meet you! I love the covers of your books. Where is Rockwall? I live in Albuquerque but have never heard of it. You're working on developing TWO series? You are truly a glutton for punishment. But then if you have honchoed(?) chapters of Mystery Writers and Sisters in Crime, we already know that. We also do rescue dogs and cats, two of each at the moment. We once rescued a baby robin and a blue jay, both of which lived through our tender loving care and were released. Best of luck with your series.
Cindy, Thanks for the invite as a friend. We have a few things in common--I just sold a non-fiction book...Busting Through: The Wild Woman's Guide to Breast Cancer Survival. Your book about B.C. sounds really great--from an interesting angle.
I'd be more than happy to put a reference or short quote from it/about it in my book. Mine is about how the disease pushes you to get in touch with the wild woman inside--and you do whatever it takes to survive. End bad family relationships, scream at your doctor, threaten to sue the hospital, or (in my case) defy immigration to adopt in spite of my diagnosis.
My email is cherylaswanson@gmail.com. If your book isn't out yet and you'd like a blurb, let me know. Or if there is ANYTHING I can do to help you.
