Just wanted to let those interested know that while I will be on the site for discussions and what have you, I most likely will only rarely update this blog. I have a blog via wordpress (http://thewriter.wordpress.com) which I now utilize exclusively for all my blogging. So, please check it out if you want to read any musings or what have you. Thanks!

Well, 2008 ended on a crappy note for me, so I'm happy for the new year and new possibilities it can bring. I will be starting a new job next month, so my writing will be taking a new turn I'm sure.
Presently, I'm still working on my series, THE LINE and the yet to be published miniseries, HYPERSONIC. Also, I've got a couple novels in the works. One is based upon a true murder back in the 1930s. More on what I've got going on soon! :)

Whew! I've been busy! Presently, I'm working on three independent comic book series, some pitches for big companies and my crime novel from late last year. So, LOTS going on! :)

As of this posting, I am at 4,611 words. I am behind the number of words expected at this point in the month, but I am confident I will catch up soon. :)

I'm revving up for my first year participating in this event. I'll be writing a mystery (of course)! :)
I usually don't outline my stories too much, but this time I am working on a basic outline to get myself going since this is going to be a challenging month. It definitely can't hurt to have an outline all set and done. Once I start writing on November 1st, I'll post here about how things are going with it.

My baby, THE LINE (my first comic book series that I've been working on since late 2004) has only come together better and better lately it seems. I don't know what it is, but I've felt so inspired with the book and my characters, mainly my lead have really spoken to me about where the story needs to go. Such a great and cool feeling when that happens. Once I get a lot more issues written, I will be actively seeking a new artist for the book, since current artist, Eric Gravel will be leaving… Continue

It's after 8pm and I'm in a Wal-Mart store. Generally, I try to avoid the chain since I can't stand so many things about them, but that's beside the point. Anyway, I grab the three or four things I came in to buy and head up front to find a short line to get in. Ha. Short line and Wal-Mart just don't play ball together. There is never such a thing as a short and fast line in a Wal-Mart. At least that has been my experience.
Like I was saying, I was in search of a register to purchase my… Continue

FARMINGTON, Mo. --
It's a hefty price for a pastry: A man accused of stealing a 52-cent doughnut could face time in jail.
Authorities said Scott A. Masters, 41, slipped the doughnut into his sweat shirt without paying, then pushed away a clerk who tried to stop him as he fled the store.
The push is being treated as minor assault, which transforms a misdemeanor shoplifting charge to a strong-armed robbery with a potential prison term of five to 15 years.… Continue

An off-duty sheriff's deputy went on a shooting rampage early Sunday at a home where seven young people had gathered for pizza and movies, killing six and critically injuring the other before authorities fatally shot him, officials said.
It's things like this happening that make me shake my head in utter disbelief. Incidents such as this do nothing to strengthen the publics view of law enforcement officers. It only provokes further doubt and uncertainty.
This young… Continue

Just a first "bloggy" post to get going... this should be a fun place! I love crime stories and love writing them! Presently, I'm working on a few stories in that genre. THE LINE is my self-published police/crime comic series that I've been working on since late 2004. That's been my primary baby for the last couple years. I've got at least a couple PI/Detective stories in me that I've been working on getting out either in comic format or short story (maybe in a collection of some sort), not… Continue
