So, my 49th is coming up. And I was wondering what I needed to do to make the upcoming year mean something. Because...the year before you turn 50 should mean something, shouldn't it?

So a couple weeks ago I decided I would lose 50 pounds before I turned 50. It's something I need to do anyway. And I want to look decent for my son's wedding. So Jeff and I developed a lifestyle change. Two weeks in, and we've each lost around 10 pounds.

I don't know how it will go, but hopefully it will indeed be a lifestyle change and I can achieve my goal.

Next goal -- 50 news pages in my manuscript before my 49th birthday. I have until August 8th. We'll see...

losing weight is always a hard thing to do, but worth the effort (i mean if you really need it )...
i used to be 35 kg (should be around 77 lbs) overweight (i am now 65 kgs/ 143 lbs) at age 23... it's hard, no one say it isn't, but don't worry, you'll start feeling better very soon...
bye,
fabrizio

P.S: very nice logo...

Jeff cheated!

We were doing so well on our diet goal, changing our lifestyle, and he trumped me. He had a heart attack on 8/6; then had a cardiac cath on 8/7. We took my 49th birthday off and spent a quiet day together in a room at Baylor Hospital awaiting his open heart surgery scheduled for 8/9. SIX bypasses...

Well, he's lost another 15 pounds, while I'm eating everything in site. Must be my nerves. 'guess I should go back to that manuscript goal ;(

Today is his 56th birthday, and I am SO THANKFUL he's here to share it with me.

Nothing else matters now except getting him back in good health -- then I'll pick my goals back up.
