Hear from Queensland author Katherine Howell about her fourth novel to feature Sydney cop Ella Marconi. In Violent Exposure (PanMacmillan), Howell again draws on her experience as a paramedic— and her considerable literary skill—to create a tight story about an apparent case of domestic violence which has gone tragically wrong.

 

Howell won Sisters in Crime’s Davitt Award (Adult Fiction) in 2008 for her debut novel in the series, Frantic, which went on to be published in released in France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Canada and the UK. The following year, her second book, The Darkest Hour, won the Davitt (Readers’ Choice).  Critics say Violent Exposure is her best yet. (www.katherinehowell.com)

 

Sydney doctor, Katherine Fox, is the author of five internationally acclaimed novels to feature forensic physician Anya Crichton: Malicious Intent, Without Consent, Skin and Bones, Blood Born and, most recently, Death MaskDeath Mask explores Anya’s biggest challenge yet—the case of a woman who returns from her honeymoon with sexually transmitted diseases, cause unknown.
