Author and anthology editor Mitzi Szereto is currently seeking original stories for an exciting new anthology of Gothic Erotic Romance entitled RED VELVET AND ABSINTHE: GOTHIC TALES OF EROTIC ROMANCE (for autumn 2011 by Cleis Press, USA.)

Mitzi Szereto is an author of erotic and multi-genre fiction and non-fiction, an anthology editor, blogger for her own blog “Errant Ramblings” (http://mitziszereto.com/blog), and creator/presenter for the web TV channel Mitzi TV (http://mitziszereto.com/tv), which offers a quirky take on London. Her work as an anthology editor has earned her the American Society of Authors and Writers’ Meritorious Achievement Award. Her anthology Erotic Travel Tales 2 is the first anthology of erotica to feature a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

Well, I've no idea, but it's becoming quite popular, particularly the paranormal element. My book has been on my back burner for 3 years, so I'm not jumping on any bandwagon - it was just good timing that caused it to finally happen.

I haven't really done anything in this specific area and I'm now nearly finished writing a story for my book that has got me very pleased with myself! Sometimes people who are new to an area end up writing work that is much fresher and more original. I find that happens when I do an anthology that is more "erotica" themed - some of the best work comes in from people who don't write (or even read) in the genre. I think it's because they have no preconceived ideas or formulas, and simply concentrate on the actual writing.
