I write under a pen name. I am a recently retired peace officer and I write about the system from the inside out. I don't live where I worked for personal reasons. I have writen two police procedural novels in a series with a female protagonist. At the moment I am seeking an agent.

Books And Authors I Like:
Robert B. Parker (all of the Spencer and Jesse Stone stories), Dick Francis, Catherine Coulter (her FBI series), Steve Martini, John Jakes (historical novels), and Janet Evanovich (Stephanie Plum series just for the joy of laughing out loud)
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
Bones; In Plain Sight; character-driven, entourage, intelligent dramas. (Not into action over character anything)
Today I learned I won the monthly writing contest for the New England Chapter of Mystery Writers of America (MWA-NE). Hot Dog. First contest I've ever entered. Sort of compensates just a tad for some of those rejection letters.
That she is. . . . Congrats on winning the MWA New England writing contest. You feel good and you get another credit for your resume. Will the chapter also give you money?
