I didn't even know you could leave comments on photos. Cats are special "people" aren't they? You are figuring this place out fast, r e!
  • Robin Burcell

Re: Blood Ties. Regular TV or BBC? Thanks!
  • Candy Calvert

Hi--thanks for inviting me, and I see several friends among your favorite authors--cool!

As for "House": what can I say? As a longtime ER nurse, I want to slap him--and yet, omigosh, how amazing is it that they've turned a cynical, drug-addicted, snarky (and soap-opera indoctrinated) character into the perfect antihero??? I love him too.

    Happy sailing,

    Candy
  • Kent Gowran

Thanks for the invite. House? I've never seen it, but, hey, Craig digs it, so I'd better change that.
  • Jeff Sherratt

Hi there...John Dunning is one of your favorite authors. Isn't he great? Thanks for the invite...

  • Michael Carr

Thanks for the invite. I love House and Firefly.
  • Newt Love

    Ree,
Readers are all right! Without them, would writers exist? If an author wrote a book in the forest, and nobody read it, did the book get published?

Hi, Reader Ree, and thanks for the invite! It is great to see a reader join the group. I think you'll find some great opportunities and can get to know those of us who both read and write. (Pardon the pun!)

Glad to hear you like mysteries. If you like stories with regional flavor, you might check out my web site at www.sylviadickeysmith.com and dive into the world of Cajuns and cowboys. Syl
  • J. D. Webb

Thanks for the invite. Nice to have a reader as a friend. BTW, I write cozy mysteries based in the Chicago area. Check out www.jdwebb.com for a free read of first chapters of all my stories.
  • Patricia Harrington

ReaderRee,Thanks so much for the invitation to join your group. I appreciate it. And it's nice to meet someone who readily idenitifies herself as a "reader." I think reading is one of the joys of life, and am old fashioned enough, to say that I like most of all to read from a book. One where I can pause, keep my place with a finger on the page, think, reflect, look around, and go back to reading.

If you're so inclined, I have a short story published on Amazon.com/Shorts called "Antiguan Memories." It's hard to define the niche/genre, but I'd say it's speculative. The story is set on the Caribbean island in the 1930's. And it involves a disillusioned Anglican priest, a mute Antiguan boy, and the spirit of a murdered slave girl--all of whom are seeking release.

Look forward to conversations with everyone.

    Best to you,

    Pat Harrington

  • Brandt Dodson

    Hi Ree,

Thanks for the invitation! I write (but it all started with reading!)
  • Harley L. Sachs

What about a mystery grabs you? I've done a number of them, including several "cozies" (no gore, no bad language, no explicit sex) as you can see by my crude web site www.hu.mtu.edu/~hlsachs. I've even written some sci-fi and was a fan in the 1940's. Wings ePress published my "Search for Jesse Bram" and th downloadable "Misplaced Persons" includes a number of sci-fi short stories. But I don't relate well to fantasy and don't write erotica or horror. Do ever read ebooks? Buy books or borrow them from the library?
  • Joan Hiller

    Hi Ree,
Thanks for the invitation. I love to read, too. I have decided, if heaven doesn't have books, I may not want to go there.
  • Debbie Behrens

Hi, Ree, thanks for the invite and thanks for reading!
  • Mary Saums

Another Firefly fan! Nice to see you here, Ree. I also love the Lord of the Rings movies. I haven't watched them in a while. Maybe it's about time for my semi-annual Viggo marathon treat ... :)

  • Shirley Wells

Hi Ree, and thanks for the invite. Looking forward to getting to know you.
Happy reading! At the moment, my writing is getting in the way of my reading, but James Patterson is next on the pile. Can't wait!
  • Shirley Wells

Yes, please do look out for my book, ree. :o)

My next James Patterson is The 6th Target (so don't tell me what happens until I've read it). I haven't done the Maximum Rides as yet ... but I will!
  • Robert Fate

Hey - Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you - was attending Murder in the Grove in Boise. Great event! If you haven't gone, try to make it next time. Best, Bob
  • Maxine Schmidt

    Nice to meet you, RR.
  • Mark Troy

    Hi RR,

Thanks for inviting me. I don't read much chick lit, but I make an exception for Leann Sweeney. She's a great person and a great writer.
  • Penny Rudolph

    Hey RR,
Thanks for the invite. Sorry to be slow to respond. I've been out of town to be on a panel at the Murder In The Grove Conference in Boise and wi-fi Computer access has been iffy. You live in Fairfax, VA? I used to live on the East Coast (my daughter is still there), but now we're in New Mexico, where it's been a snowy winter and a soggy spring and I'm thinking the earth may have left its orbit.
    Cheers and best wishes!
  • Maryann Miller

Finally got computer problems fixed so I could respond to your friend request. Happy to join your group. I haven't read Leann Sweeney, but I should check her books out. One of my favs in chick lit is Laura Castoro. Her latest, Icing on the Cake, is a hoot.
    Happy Reading
    Maryann
