Love the new hairdo. I'd try for something similar if only my head wasn't so damn big. :)

Um, Leanne, that avatar is . . . well . . . not the most flattering. I know you have much better taste in hats.

Re: your comment on my page. Pish. Pshaw. Think nothing of it. Life continues and we're all learning.

In addition to Indigo's long-lost "twin," Smokie, we also have a gray marble cat that looks just like the one on your slideshow--cats DO rule! (I can still beat Smokie at Trivial Pursuit, but he wins every game of chase-the-laser-pointer-light!)
  • LJ Roberts

Thank you, Leanne. A friend calls it my manager-teacher-reviewer look of "explain to me, once again, just what you were thinking" expression. It's good to be here.

Yes, I found I had five undedicated minutes in my day and thought I should fill it with another blog. And BTW, sleeping is for sissies. Thanks for the add.Delete Comment

Glad to have you on board, though I'm not an active blogger. Suppose in time I'll learn.
  • Michael Robotham

    Hi Leann,
I'm happy to be among such a well read and obviously very sophisticated bunch. Keep finding time to write.
  • Michael Robotham

    Hi Leann,

I know exactly what you mean about being a reading groupie. I just spent the weekend with Don Winslow at the Sydney Writers Festival. Lots of hero worship going on. I'm really glad you like the books. THE NIGHT FERRY is out on July 10 in the US. I'm doing a bit of a tour, which includes Houston. Texas is obviously an awfully big place and Friendswood could be miles away. (It's a great name for a place, by the way. I wish I'd thought of it and put it in a book).
    Best

Murder by the Book is definitely the place. Tuesday July 17, 6.30 p.m.
I've heard great things about it from Jeff Abbott.

    Hey, Girlfriend,

Thanks for the invite. Ha! I understand about the group blog thing but when you're pressed for time you may think differently!

Did I meet you at an MWA Symposium? Do you know me from the Guppies column I used to write for First Draft called "No Stone Unturned"? Or did you take one of those classes I used to do for Kiss of Death?

No matter. Good luck with your new promotion vehicle and next time you're awaiting a book, give me a heads-up and we can do a Q & A in my free, bi-monthly author's e-newsletter Soup'sOn. Lots of mystery writers have been in it: Susan McBride, and, oh, ...brain drain, but lots.

    Cheers,

    Andrea

Hi Leann--nice to meet another Houston writer. My daughter's name is Leann, although we complicated it by putting an 'e' on the end.
  • Amanda Stevens

I am in MWA but I haven't been to any of the Houston meetings yet. Maybe after I get my current book finished.
