Just out - Forever Young: Blessing or Curse, a paranormal romantic thriller by Morgan Mandel -
Fresh beginnings turn tragic when Dorrie Donato’s husband, Larry, is killed in a hit and run accident a few months after starting a new job at the Life is for Living Institute. Discouraged and desperate after suffering countless setbacks, Dorie accepts an offer by Larry’s boss, the famous Angel Man, to be the first to test an experimental pill designed to spin its user back to a desired age and hold there, yet still retain all previous memories. The pill seems too good to be true. Maybe it is.
Thanks for adding me to your list, Morgan. It's been a long time since I lived in Chicago. For the ten years when I was there, I couldn't imagine a friendlier city. The springtimes and summers were great, but those winters ...
Hi, Morgan. Was on the short story panel with you at Love Is Murder. Had a great time and looking forward to attending again next year. Great to be your friend.
Hallo, Morgan!
Thanks for your welcome. Your website evoked fondest memories of Chicago, where I visited some (too many) years ago. I must admit a certain fascination by the loop - but then: I live in Frankfurt, the only city in Germany with something resembling a skyline ;-))
Hi Morgan, thanks for inviting me to be your friend! You really have commitment to your writing to work at it while commuting. I'm usually half asleep in the mornings! You may find the podcasts at my blog Fusion View interesting - there's an interview with a UK literary agent. The url is http://www.fusionview.co.uk.
Hi, Morgan. I've also done a lot of features in my newspaper career. We still do them, but now we focus on "hyperlocal" news--lots of news about the specific suburbs we cover.
Morgan,
I'm a bit late in responding, but thanks for the invitation. I'm excited about being part of this network of real writers (well, I'm real enough, but you know what I mean.)
Hello from Tennessee, thanks for friending! When we went to Harris Casino - I liked it.... far too much! :-) It's very easy to one arm your way into the poor house! haha
Have a great weekend.
WOW - I couldn't ever be so lucky! We went to Harris Cherokee Casino (It's only 90miles from home & right there at the Smokey Mountains, which I love!) I put a 100$bill in the machine & not knowing how to use it, i ended up only getting to pull the lever 5 times, b/c i was betting $20 a pull!!!!!!!!!! oh my - right when this lil' ol' lady was telling me this - i had pulled it the last time & WHAMO hit something it began to whistle & bing & make all kinds of noises - i didn't know whether to dance or hide my face in shame.... but I won $700 in quarters....
Of course, we didn't leave - I would've had I been alone, but hubby ended up losing $300 of that & i said that's it, our hot streak is COLD and we are going back to the hotel. We did too. Two weeks later we got a letter from Harris Cherokee, with $10 each to play the slots & a free hotel for one nite. (We went back & didn't win a thing!) I really hope to get back down there again this summer!
You mentioned you were coming to Wisconsin. To go to the Lake of the Torches is that in Lac Du Flambeau. I live 10 minutes away from there. What a small world. Have a nice Vacation. We have snow right now.
Hi there! Life is difficult when you're a bit lazy (computer wise) but I'm doing my best to get into this mode of communication and, in the process, pull my self away from that sure to be best seller (if only).
All the best Morgan.
Hi ya'll from Arkansas. Down here "ya'll" can singular or plural, this is a "hi" to you and all your other friends. This is a new place for me. I like it so far. Easy to use. Easy to navigate.
I'll be back as I get more comfortable with the site.
Afternoon Morgan. Always a pleasure to get invited into someone's circle of friends, especially someone like you who seems to get such a kick out of writing and crime fiction. Doing my taxes at the moment and a welcome reprieve!
Hi Morgan. Thanks for befriending me. I'm a newbie and still learning my way around so it's nice to get that first request. I really like the way you've set up your page. I'm taking notes!
Hi,
I agree with your typing v. longhand philosophy. Interesting how handwriting deteriorates with age. You mentioned the Love is Murder Conference--I live very clse to the site of Malice Domstic, but I won't be able to attend till next year, drat! anyway, thanks for the inviatioan.
Hi Morgan. How come your page is so much more elegant and refined than mine? Takes a woman's touch, I guess, or maybe just the skill that comes from knowing what the **** you're doing! Which I certainly don't have ...
Gee, I didn't know my page was refined!
I just picked a different layout from the available choices and asked a few questions. I'm learning as I go along.
Morgan
Hey Morgan,
I thought this would be the best place to post. I'm new so i'm still finding my way around.
Thanks for the friends invite. It's great to be made feel welcome.
Hi Morgan, thanks for the invite. The puppy is ana amazing little Bull Terrier we had named Yappy. Unfortunately, due to allergies we had to find the little guy a new home.--Dave
Hi Morgan, thanks for the invite. It must be hard writing and driving to work at the same time. Just kidding (I know commute - I hope. Although I dare say the last time I was in the Windy CIty I nearly got creamed by a fruitcake driver. Wouldn't have been you by any chance? ) I think my insanity I was looking that was lost might have come home to roost at last. You excerpt from your book intrigued me. I'll have to get a copy.
Thanks for the update on Authorfest. Wish I could attend, but I have to chaparon a teen movie in the park. My guess is that we both will have loads of fun. My site will be chocked full of teen angst and plot/story possibilities. All I have to do is sit back and take it all in.

Thanks for the invitation - which provoked a double reaction:
1. great, a new friend,
2. great - another displacement activity.
