A short time ago I ran across a comment about ebook publishing somewhere in CrimeSpace and did some investigating. What I found was some way to get some of my old western stories that had been…Continue

About Me:
I live in a small cottage near the beaches of Queensland. An American by birth, I'm a retired journalist/editor. A half dozen years or so back I got bored with the beach and all that sunshine and started writing novels. As of today, the London company, Hale Publishing, has published ten of my western novels and my first crime novel comes out toward the end of February. A second novel is enroute to Hale with a third in the re-re-re-rewrite stage. I would dearly love to be published in the US but so far no agent has been intelligent enough to take my work on. Too bad, so sad............

May you get your manuscript whipped into publishable shape and may your publisher then buy it.

The most fun I've had in years is learning through critique groups and reading, then putting together a well written sentence, one at a time.

Non pornographic love scenes, in my opinion, are much easier than you think. Remember when you first started dating? How exciting it was to anticipate the big event? But if you're talking about sex and all it entails, personally, sometimes all you need is a suggestion, a kiss, then end the scene and come back in the morning.

From my mother, perhaps in the same era as yours, I learned pornographic love scenes are offensive to some. Well, that's okay, they don't have to read the book. It all depends on your perspective I guess.

Yeah, welcome aboard. Sydney is okay, other than flying over the harbor ... that is a world class view. Melbourne? Great tennis, the Australian Open, but more better for the restaurants one can find there. Australia doesn't have a good reputation for being a culinary delight ... Melbourne makes up for it.
All in all Queensland is a great place to live ... I've been very happy here since retiring in '02. Of course I still write my crime stories that all take place in northern California .. and my publisher is in the UK! Go figure. (I like phrases like "more better" to describe things ... wonder why)

Hi Bill,
Thanks for sending a friend request to this mystery author! I've been to Australia once, to visit friends in the Sydney and Melbourne areas and do some snorkeling in Cairns and Port Douglas. I definitely want to come back sometime and see some more of the country.
