Currently reside in Sanford, NC and work in Raleigh, NC. I'm a non-partisan staff lawyer for the NC General Assembly specializing in criminal law, motor vehicle law, juvenile delinquency and alcoholic beverage control. I essentially write laws for a living.
I've always written, but other than one Nanowrimo novel in 2004, I've generally just written short items and written them only for myself. I have a ton of story ideas on scraps of paper, mostly for mystery/crime type stories, but I've never actually written one.
I've recently decided that I should really put some effort into focusing on and developing my writing, to see if I can actually get something published. I'm not in a position to quit the day job, but I am trying to make this a priority in my life as well.
