My co-author on two of my mystery novels. Paul writes 1st person POV as one of the Taylor & Graham characters, street cop Scott Coral. It's a great contrast, for the majority of the books are told 1st person from the female detective's POV, Brenna Taylor. Paul also writes the fight scenes in ALL the books and makes sure police officer emotions and reactions are real -- Paul is a police officer when he's not writing, ha ha!
