I'm a punch-drunk Canadian crime writer, former editor and entertainment journalist, current sometimes-publisher, and chronic fuckabout. My first book, Hot Sinatra, was a finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel. I'm currently serving on the board of the Crime Writers of Canada. I am a devout fan of hardboiled, noir, old-school detectives and most oddball shit. I also run Coffin Hop Press, and throw the "Noir At The Bar" events #NoirBarYYC as Calgary, Alberta's hometown anti-hero.
All the usual suspects: Hammett, Chandler, Willeford, Ellroy, Leonard, etc etc etc. Really, I'll read anything well-written with a little humor and a vicious bite.
