About Me:: Ballarat Writers is a grass-roots organisation promoting local writing and writers in the Western Victorian region.

We run regular readings and special events such as workshops, Ballarat Writers Festival and the Southern Cross Literary Competition as well as occasional events run in partnership with other local organisations. This year, we’re proud to be co-hosting the Death in July festival with Sisters in Crime.

Ballarat Writers Inc was established in 1989.
