Profile Information

Hometown:
Midleton, Co. Cork Ireland
About Me:
I love to read and am hoping to finish my novel soonish
Books And Authors I Like:
I love crime books and read those in the main but I like most books, apart from horror and sci-fi. In the last few years I've come across a lot of new writers (to me) and so am busy catching up with their book lists ie. Denis Lehane, Kevin Wignal, Mark Billingham, Sheila Quigley and Alex Kava and a lot more, I also have picked up some of my old favourites like John Harvey, Jonathan Kellerman, Harlen Coben and Michael Connolly to name a very few.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
I'm weaning myself of TV at present, but again in the main it's crime shows I watch. I've become hooked on Without a Trace and Waking the dead lately and I've bought the DVD's up to the present.

I am sorry for not getting back to anyone earlier - I'm just getting the hang of Crimespace - thanks for all your comments though.

Hello Betty,

Just spent a week in Cork - Clonakilty, Kinsale, Inchydoney - wonderful! Almost better than Connemara :) :) :)

Slan, Pat.

Hey Betty, yeah, definitely a lot of familiar faces round here. I like the concept though, different to BTZ!

What's new?

Peter Temple's A Broken Shore is a must. A very good read IMHO.

Finish that book soon! Being from Ireland, are you familiar with Ken Bruen's work? He's one of my favorites there. And howdy from New Orleans all the way over the Atlantic! This is neat.
My book, The Beatitudes, is a paranormal thriller set in New Orleans. It will be out in the fall and I am donating all royalties directly to the New Orleans Public Library Foundation. Libraries support the infrastructure of a great city, so I have started The Beatitudes Network to promote awareness of the importance of public libraries in NOLA.
The blogsite www.beatitudesinneworleans.blogspot.com describes the Network, has excerpts from The Beatitudes, recipes, and more. Merci mille fois. Lyn Lejeune.
Writers, please pass the word…..it’s for a good cause….don’t let the libraries of New Orleans or the US go the way of The Great Library of Alexandria. P.S. just posted an excerpt on my Crimespace page.

Hi Betty, thanks for the invitation. Keep battling away at that novel and it'll be done in no time.

My grandfather was born in Knockskagh, near Leap. I love Co. Cork and hope to get back there soon. I've written one series set there, but so far nobody's bought it--but I haven't given up hope.
