About Me:: I was born in New Mexico and grew up everywhere. We moved nearly every other year as my father followed a career in the Air Force. Life was filled with a wide variety of people and places, from Turkey to Labrador, Wisconsin to California. My books aim first to entertain, but reflect my personal values: compassion, tolerance and curiosity, sadness and joy, and a deep love of nature. My first book, Dragonfly Secret, was published by Atheneum in 1997 and nominated for the Sunshine State Young Readers' Award Program. I am now writing murder mysteries.
