About Me:: just came to the realization that since what I really want to do is write fiction that the focus I have had on non-fiction was not helping my career any (writing career since I do have a whole real job thing going). I have/had an agent who represented my non fiction and had a fairly successful humor book called the Grilled Cheese Madonna published by Random House (Broadway imprint).

I recently pulled out of a dusty drawer the novel I wrote a few years back while in grad school. When my literary agent quit being a literary agent, I, at the advice of an editor friend, published it on CreateSpace rather than go through the whole agent thing again. The best part of the whole decision is that I have started writing fiction again.

In real life I do governmental policy, have a Ph.D. from Cornell and a B.A. from Georgetown.
