I'm a political cartoonist and children’s book illustrator from Strabane, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
After graduating from the University of Ulster in 1990 I spent the next fifteen years in Belfast carving out a career until I returned to Strabane in 2005. I'm currently the resident political cartoonist for The Irish Herald, San Francisco, USA but over the years my work has been published by Slugger O'Toole, The Pensive Quill, The Irish Gazette (USA), Irish Sunday Mirror, The Blanket (proud to be a Blanketeer by the way!), Londonderry Sentinel, Sunday Journal, Daily Ireland, Citizen Magazine, Fortnight magazine, and Channel 4. Recently I had my first book 'Warts and All - Ten years of the Good Friday Agreement' published by Appletree Press and I'm currently working on 'Warts and All 2' which will be out in 2010.
Warts and All by John Kennedy, On the Brinks by Sam Millar, Good Friday - The Death of Irish Republicanism by Anthony McIntyre, Walls of Silence by Catherine McCartney and Stupid White Men by Michael Moore.
Movies And TV Shows I Like:
The Quite Man, The Wedding Singer, In The Name Of The Father, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, Snatch and I can't wait for the day when Sam Millar's memoir 'On The Brinks' makes it to the big screen!
