About Me:
finally got to see all of the film Mystic
River on Tv the other night.
Born and raised in Boston I can say that the film got the boston working class sound and look right. Great visuals and the tribal/clan peer pressure, and macho paranoia was real because of great acting by the cast. Tim robbins reminded me of many depressed, shut down, defeated people I know, worked with, and am related too in Boston.
But the ending SUCKS! The boys get the gun and are playing with it in the street and Katy just happens to drive by and they try to scare her and the gun goes off............................................ Give me a Break!
Here we have a great opportunity to create a "Sins of the Fathers are vested on their Sons " type of ending. After all, sean Penn, Katy's father, says "Somehow I feel I am responsible for her death; but I don't know how?
I thought that the ending would be the murdered girl's boyfriend's younger brother ( who is slightly retarded) gets the gun and kills her because he has been brain washed by his embittered Mother, who wishes "she would die" and Katy is going to take his older brother away to Calif!
I know of families who have "taken care of business" themselves and somehow it comes back to hurt them.
Katy's father, played by sean Penn, killed Katy's boyfriend's Dad years earier because he 'snitched" on him and sean Penn went to prison. katy's boyfriend's tough mother always suspected sean Penn of killing her husband and hated Katy and her family and was dead set again Katy and her son's relationship and many times said to her sons she wished Katy and her whole family would die!
The sins of the Father's are vested upon their Children!

>>> WHY AMERICA NEEDS A NO- NAME LAW!
>>> To increase their ratings and profits, the Media rountinly broadcasts

>>> Robinson, seventeen; What are the LAPD hiding?

>>> Jill Barcomb of Hollywood, California had recently moved from New York

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
