- According to the publicity posters I’m a former journalist and ghostwriter turned novelist and thriller writer.
My books are published in 23 languages including Korean, Indonesian, Hebrew and Estonian (don't ask me if the translations are any good.)
I am also world Uno champion. (I use the term ‘world’ as a similar vein to baseball’s ‘world series’ which features no teams from outside of America. My Uno title featured no players from outside my immediate family. I beat my then six-year-old daughter in a grueling final.) Since then I have refused a rematch and become the reclusive Bobby Fisher of Uno.
I can most often be found working in his 'pit of despair' (basement office) on Sydney’s northern beaches where I fund the extravagant lifestyles of a wife and three daughters.

A Writer's Life
Hi guys and gals,
People are always telling me I should blog. They say it’s a brilliant marketing tool and a way of keeping in regular contact with readers by giving them something extra.
I fall into the Stephen King school when it comes to revealing my ‘writer’s life’. Basically, I sit on my ass. Who wants to read about that? Or to steal from Otto von Bismarck, ‘Writing is like sausages. You sleep far better the less you know how they are made.’

A DARK DARK DARK STORY
MISSING AUTHOR FOUND
I’m back and I come bearing gifts, or at least a new book. Contrary to some of the wilder rumours floating about, I have not been in rehab with Amy Winehouse for the past six months (my Tipex sniffing is under control). Nor did I go ‘into the wild’ bedding down with Polar bears in Alaska. You can also rule out a mystery illness, cosmetic surgery, prison time or a sex change.

‘THE NIGHT FERRY’ SAILS STATESIDE JULY 10
I was going to tell you all to strap on the your Mae Wests (life vests) but that would suggest THE NIGHT FERRY was about to go the way of the Titanic on its maiden voyage. That ain’t going to happen. We’re avoiding all icebergs and sailing into a long hot summer.

Just finished "Shatter"....I loved it! I recently found out a good friend has Parkinson's and so it was really helpful to read of a hero with the same. Excellent read, and I plan on having a postive review up soon on New Mystery Reader.

- Thanks, will do, Michael...and will also check out the Marquez books. Hopefully there's something I can share with my Dad and Grandmother. I think, personally, there's much to be said about literature with a definate cultural slant. Not sure if you've read John Nicols, or if you want to, but he does manage to make sense out of an area that is close to me...he gets it with a kindness and empathy rarely seen...photos are great too..

I wish I were a very influential reviewer! Based on my impression of your first book, I really think your books deserve being translated into Danish. I looked for Danish reviews via Google and I could see there were not many. Perhaps because Danes look towards Britain & Scandinavia for inspiration?
What I can do, I shall do, however. I posted a Danish review + a short English abstract on my first blog (a December experiment) but one of these days I´ll copy it onto my new blog which is read by more crime fiction fans :)
And thank you for your encouragement. Sometimes I really need a kick in a certain part of my anatomy to keep up my writing ;) Blogging gives you much more immediate feedback.

I came across "The Suspect" (Danish translation) at my local library in December, read it, enjoyed it and reviewed it on my crime fiction blog. So of course you should only blog if you like it, but since my first go at it 6 weeks ago I have realized I enjoy it ever so much - even though it takes an awful lot of time I could have spent on work, family, reading books, trying to write books etc :)
