John,
Ada's married name was Cook. She lived at 150 Muirhead Avenue.I found her by chance.A friend, knowing I was interested in the case, told me of the woman and a story she had once told her.Ada remembers her parents arguing bitterly in the hours after the Parrys left, the mother pleading with the father not to get involved, the father wanting to help a friend. The mother obviously won.Ada went on to marry a Headmaster more famous for being manager of St Helens Rugby League team in their golden days of the 60s when he brought Alex Murphy and Tom Van Vollenhoven to the club.Everyone connected to this event is dead now,I have no corroboration, though I believed the woman as she told me the tale.
