Some time has passed since the big Virginia Writers Club Symposium, but I didn’t want to just let it

And the Club is already planning a similar event next year, again at Piedmont Virginia…

My final book signing for Borders Books was at the store in Fair Oaks Mall. It was so successful, and the store had so many visitors, that it's still incredible to me that the store had to close. As I watch the Borders chain sell off its stock and fixtures I am mourning the loss of a business that supported me as an author, and of good friends who were book lovers as much as book sellers.

My next book signing is Saturday at the Borders Express in Fair Oaks Mall. This store, in an upscale mall, has been very good to me in the past, and I expect it to be again. Stop by and see what I mean between noon and 4pm. You can map to the mall at 11713 Lee Jackson Hwy, Fairfax VA.

Writers place a great deal of confidence in many research sources but in odd moments I wonder if those references are really perfect. For example, if a word is misspelled in the dictionary, how would we ever know?

Friday and Saturday I'll be at Thrillerfest, the premiere thriller writers event on the planet. For two days the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City will host a star studded collection of popular authors with panels and presentations every fan and author will want to see.
Among them will be "Who's in the Crosshairs? Where Are Military Thrillers Going?" I'll sit on that panel Saturday at 2pm. The aforementioned John Gilstrap will moderate so I know it will be a blast. Read…

I met Dennis LaRaja at Borders Express in Dulles Center a few months ago. He bought The Troubleshooter and Russian Roulette. Later he wrote to tell me he enjoyed both and regretted not picking up my other titles when he was there. He visited me at a later book signing at the same store and
completed his collection of my novels, telling me that he really loved my characters. For his support I have made Dennis' comments the featured review on my web site.…

My book signing at Borders Express in Montgomery Mall was not all it could be. It seems that very few people want to be in the Mall on the day before the 4th of July, but I had fun nonetheless with those people who did stop by.
Also, my review of Threat Warning is in the latest issue of The Big Thrill, the newsletter of the International Thriller…
