Yep, that's me these days. I know I haven't been around much but gee, I have two books coming out in October, I've moved, had construction work done at my house, kept newsletter deadlines and promoted like crazy, and that's all during my spare time! Most of you know I also work a full time job. Let's face it, life is a full time job. LOL

New Book Cover!

I don't have a release date yet but wanted to show off my new book cover. The Wild Rose Press artist did a great job at capturing a scene in the book. Read an excerpt here.

Phantom of the Opera

I'm drinking coffee in my new, cool Phantom of the Opera mug. It has a mask on it that turns white when you're drinking something hot.

My daughter, niece and I went to see it Friday night. It was girls night out and we met early for dinner and the show. What a great evening it turned out to be. Just like old times! Affectionately called "The Golden Girls" by my son-in-law, (more like the three stooges) we always have a fun time together and I… Continue

Off to the mall I went...

I think I've mentioned before that I don't like shopping. Any kind. But once in a while I need things. Stuff I can't get in a grocery store, unless I'm at Walmart. However, I don't like to buy my clothes and shoes there so off to the mall I went. Against my will I might add.

I timed it just right. Arrived there just as they were opening the doors. If the parking lot didn't give it away once I began walking the mall in my quest for a few items, it became obviously clear the place was… Continue

The Old Fashioned-Thanksgiving

(Edgar Albert Guest, 1881-1959)

It may be I am getting old and like too much to dwell

Upon the days of bygone years, the days I loved so well;

But thinking of them now I wish somehow that I could know

A simple old Thanksgiving Day, like those of long ago,

When all the family gathered round a table richly spread,

With little Jamie at the foot and grandpa at the head,

The youngest of us all to greet the… Continue

I just learned how! LOL And I'm only 54 years old...well, I will be very soon. What fun it is. However, the other day my daughter sent me three messages before I could even answer one. She said I'm slow. Well, duh! I can't see the small letters and I also have the kind of phone that doesn't have a keypad.

Yes and no questions are desired:)

An Upgrade and a Thank You

I just have to share this story with ya'll. You know hubby was gone for a week, visiting family in OK. On the flight back he tried to upgrade to first class but it was already full. His assigned seat was at the very back of the plane. He made himself comfortable, sat back and waited for the plane to take off.

After a while he saw the stewardess walking his way with a younger man following her. They stopped when they came to my hubby and the… Continue

Excerpt of THE SENATOR'S DAUGHTER

How in the world did he expect her to sleep with him lying next to her all night? She already felt the heat from their close proximity, reaching up to undo some of the top buttons of her shirt. She fluffed the material against her hot skin, thanking God for the cool air of the fan overhead.

In the end it wasn't enough. As Brent settled into an exhausted sleep, Sophie lay there burning up, listening to his soft snores and undoing yet another button, and another. She tried to inch away… Continue

What brings us together...

A friend sent this to me and I wanted to share.

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby and said, 'Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will show you our whole country today.'

After a few minutes,… Continue

Rambo Granny of Melbourne, Austrailia

Gun-toting granny Ava Estelle, 81, was so ticked-off when two thugs raped her 18-year-old granddaughter that she tracked the unsuspecting ex-cons down... and shot off their testicles.

The old lady spent a week hunting those men down -and, when she found them, she took revenge on them in her own special way, said Melbourne police investigator Evan Delp. Then she took a taxi to the nearest police station, laid the gun on the sergeant's desk and told him as calm as could be: 'Those… Continue
