I'm still waiting to hear a decision from the editor on CRIMSON SWAN. The suspense in killing me, but I'm trying very hard not to dwell on it. For that reason -- and others such as I actually want to graduate in December -- I've been working on HELLFIRE, my creative thesis.

As of 3:00 AM, May 19, 2008, I have revised and written 99 pages in 2 weeks. Only 401 to go to finish the book. Thankfully, I only have to present 125-150 pages as my thesis this fall. My committee won't read the entire manuscript, but I have to finish the novel anyway because, let's face it, what can I do with a partial manuscript? Not much other than prop open my office door, which is currently closed to keep a nosy and noisy cat out. (She's not happy about it, but she'll learn to deal with it. Nine Inch Nails almost drowns out her constant meowing...almost.)

Anyway, I hope to have HELLFIRE finished by the end of June at the latest. I'll be attending THRILLERFEST in New York again this year and have to start on A WICKED TURN, the sequel to CRIMSON SWAN, as soon as I get back from NYC. If everything goes well, I should have AWT finished before the fall semester starts in August. That would be nice because then all I'd have to do is attend classes, defend my thesis, and graduate. Yay!

But, HELLFIRE isn't going to write itself, so I should probably get back to it.
