A Study in Red: The Secret Journal of Jack the Ripper, 25 Aug 2008

By Sue Lamb

A Study in Red is most unlike any other Ripper story that I have read,in that Brian L Porter has given "Jack" a personality.
It is very spooky indeed to read Jack's thoughts and to be privy to his twisted logic. The story is full of shocks and surprises, interwoven with actual historic facts about the Whitechapel murders.
The main character,Robert Cavendish,is very likeable and believable. The final twist at the end of the story is breathtaking. A very entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable read.
