I was offered a chance over the weekend that may be too good to pass up. Friends are headed to Magna Cum Murder, and they said, "Come with us." Now, I'd said no earlier since I have no book to push at a mystery con, but things seem to be falling into place. Turns out I'll be halfway to Muncie on Thursday. I can hook up with a friend who's driving down, stay with them, and maybe even get on a panel. My short story is now in a mystery anthology, DYING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND, so I have something to offer mystery fans. All this adds up to 94.5% certainty that I'll be going.

Cons are a lot of fun, and I look forward to seeing people I haven't seen in a while like Luci the "Poison Lady," and author Beverle Graves Myers. I'll meet new people, of course, and you always pick up good little tidbits about writing, marketing, and getting published. And you can sell books, maybe.

So I'm cautiously excited and hoping that this trip works out. It's more travel, and I've had a lot of that lately, but it's bound to be interesting. And with murder as the main topic of discussion, I'll be exactly where I want to be!
