Presto Variations, a new book -- the third in the Ray Tate/Djuna Brown series -- will be released next week by Dundurn. Three strong reviews so far off the ARCs: Good Reads, The Globe and Mail, and the Winnipeg Free Press.

And Glass Pieces, the sequel to The Finger's Twist, the Charlie Tate/Elodie Gray series, is at the formatter's and will go up as an indie ebook in January.

Three completed novels, The Beautiful Policeman, Flowers, and A Murder in Rome, should follow during the spring/summer. I'm trying this hybrid thing, which I guess means wearing a belt and suspenders.

John thanks for the good wishes. After these ebooks come out, I'm limiting myself to writing two books a year -- I officially become a retiree tomorrow and want to spend some time doing photomontage. In the event, I note we've lived in the same places -- Greenfield Park (briefly, in the very early 1950s before the locals ran us out of town) -- and N.B. Don't anyway know when Presto'll be in the shops. I'll post something when the sequel to Twist goes up online, once I figure out that "platform" thing. Best, Lee

Good luck with the belt and suspenders. I really enjoyed The Finger's Twist, looking forward to Glass Pieces. And Presto Variations.
