Yesterday I managed to get into one of the localish Borders stores and was really really pleased to spy a cop of the local Sisters in Crime publication of the Scarlet Stiletto winners and entrants. This is a book of short stories done by well-known, up and coming and not so well known Australian female crime writers. I've read a few of these short stories in other locations but I've been really looking forward to getting this compilation since I heard it was coming out.
An anthology of prize-winning stories from Sisters in Crime's national short story competition edited by Lindy Cameron. It includes 26 stories by Tara Moss, Cate Kennedy, Kerry Munnery, Josephine Pennicott, Julie Waight, Jacqui Horwood, Louise Connor, Margaret Pollock, Dianne Gray, Christina Lee, Liz Cameron, Roxxy Bent, Sarah Evans, Inga Simpson, Ann Penhallurick, Liz Filleul, Margaret Bevege, Phyl O'Regan, Bronwyn Blake, Ronda Bird, Janis Spehr and Siobhan Mullany.

As I finish each short story I'll start posting some general comments on each - but let me tell you, the book starts off with a bang when it has a short story by Julie Waight about the perils of nagging a woman to clean the house!
