Looking at the Thriller Awards short list.
Best Novel:
False Impression by Jeffrey Archer
Killer Instinct by Joseph Finder
Cold Kill by Stephen Leather
The Messenger by Daniel Silva
Beautiful Lies by Lisa Unger
I’ve read False Impression and thought not Archer’s best. I like his Kane and Abel type stories better. And I wonder why there are so many stories about Art that I have come across lately.
Killer Instinct. I got an ARC and loved it but thought Company Man and Paranoia were better.
Cold Kill and Beautiful Lies, I haven’t read.
The Messenger. I stopped reading Silva with the English Assassin, in fact I didn’t finish that book. I got bored.
Any thoughts on Cold Kill and Beautiful Lies? My pick without reading those two, Killer Instinct.
