A talk and a radio interview

A bright and early start on 22 September when I'll be talking to Steve Harris on the BBC Radio Solent Breakfast Show. This is scheduled for 6.45a.m.(British time) give or take a few minutes. It's always great to chat with Julian Clegg or Steve Harris and give listeners a quick up date on what is happening in the life of this crime author and my marine mystery police procedural crime and thriller novels, which are set in the South of England! So if you get a chance then tune in or listen via the Internet.

Next up on the same day is a talk at the Waterlooville branch of U3A at 2pm. This is the second U3A group I will have spoken to, the last was at a Literary Lunch at the U3A group at Littlehampton, which was great fun.

U3A or The University of the Third Age is an international movement run by and for people who are retired, or semi-retired. There are local U3As all over the UK, which are charities in their own right and are run entirely by volunteers. Between them U3As offer the chance to study many different subjects in such fields as art, languages, music, history, life sciences, philosophy, computing, crafts, photography and walking.

The U3A web site says that a typical U3A has about 250 members but could be as small as 12 and as large as 2000. Not sure how many I'll have tomorrow but don't think it will be 2,000 - though that would be nice.

However many turn up though, I hope they enjoy my talk because I will certainly enjoy meeting and talking to them. Hope to post some photos from the event here in the next couple of days.
