'A Taste of Old Revenge' about to be sent off to my publisher. . . maybe.

'A Taste of Old Revenge,' the second Turner Hahn/Frank Morales novel of mine is ready to send off to the publishers. The same one who did the first Turner/Frank novel. I gotta feeling I'm going to have to mimic the route Louis L'Amour took in climbing that literary mountain--doing dozens of Westerns seemingly in the closet until finally, someone catches on and takes notice.

Maybe the idea is to build a fan base large enough to force a major agent/publisher to take notice. Who knows? I've tried all the traditinal routes and came up bumpkis. At least the books will be out there and a few people will read'em.

Good luck, B. R. It's all about reaching critical mass, and I think that path is just a little bit different for each of us. Keep plugging.

Congratulations and good luck, BR. I'm with you, hoping if I knock on the door long enough, someone will answer.

Congratulations, B.R. There's a local writer around here who's done very well with humor/memoir--guy named Mike Perry. He ascribes to the barn-mucking theory of literary production: if you pile it high enough, long enough, somebody's bound to take notice.

Yes, good luck. It's a crap shoot, you never know. You have to be in the game to score, right?
