First up is Book # 3 in the Grace deHaviland Bounty hunter series—With Intent to Deceive

How far would you go to protect a friend? For bounty hunter Grace deHaviland and sheriff’s deputy Suzie Jensen the answer may be: until someone ends up dead.

Rhona Hasen says she didn’t kill her husband. The police say otherwise.

Still, Sheriff’s Deputy Suzie Jensen wants to believe her. Yet her efforts to investigate the murder go awry when Ro skips bail and Grace deHaviland—Columbus, Ohio’s top bounty hunter and Suzie’s best friend—takes the case.

Now pitted against her best friend in a race against time and with a deadly street gang out for blood, can Grace unravel the mystery of Rhona’s husband’s death in time to stop more murders—like Suzie Jensen’s and her own.        And Book # 2 in the Nick Lafferty series—Out of the Game

Ex-DEA Agent Nick Lafferty is Back!

Still struggling to come to terms with the loss of his family, former- DEA Agent Nick Lafferty gets drawn into a case when ADA Caitlin McKenna requests his help investigating the killing of two cops and her key witness in a murder trial.

Accused of murder, being investigated by the FBI, and out of options, Lafferty re-teams with his ex-partner and soon-to-be ex-cop, Delmar Harley, a man wrestling with his own demons.

As they set to square off against New York’s notorious Cosa Nostra, Lafferty prepares for the worst. But the deeper he digs, the more dangerous things become,

and before long, more bodies begin to drop.

Thanks, Jed,

It would be great if you picked up Out of the Game, and, more importantly, I hope you like it. :)

Sounds like an interesting panekl. Lately, I've been so busy, I've cut out just about everything but writing and family time, (and sometimes even the latter). In fact, I've spent a good part of the summer doing a number of Dean's online workshops. Hence the vastly improved covers. And as for writing, I've got three novels lined up to do this year, outlines mostly done on each. Jan 1st its kickoff time.

Sounds like you've been busy too. Good luck with the novel series, sounds like a blast. I'll be sure to check it out.

Take care,

David

Congratulations, David. Both sound interesting. I will definitely buy Out of the Game. Sounds right up my alley.

You didn't miss much at Nashua, although there were 50 authors there. I was one of 5 on a panel the other day at the Portsmouth Library, "Publishing Options." I was the Indie expert. Most of the attendees were writers or aspiring writers. Of course, I directed them toward Dean.

I have my 4th Dan Marlowe/Hampton Beach crime novel coming out Memorial Day. Also, a crime novel, 1st in a series, "The Combat Zone," about a PI who hangs his hat in early 1970's Harvard Square and spends an inordinate amount of time in Boston's red-light district, the Combat Zone. That will be out in a couple of months along with 2 short story collections.

Best,

Jed
