Book recommendations

I'd like some crime recommendations. I tend to like character crime like Stephen Cannell, Harlen Coben or humor like Janet Evanovich. Not such a big fan of hard-boiled stuff. Carl Hiassen and Lee harris don't work so well for me. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks Karen and John for the suggestions. Dan, I appreciate the offer, but would prefer to read your novel when it comes out in actual book format. I seldom read Docs - my eyes complain too much.

Marianne - Liz Sharp might suit (I much prefer her humour to the Plum novels now), Vanda Symon from NZ or Karin Fossum / Karin Alvtegen from Scandinavia. Yrsa Siggurdarottir's first book was really good - I've got the second one which I must get to. For starters anyway... lots more to choose from :)
