In addition to her booksigning, Eva Batonne taught a READING workshop at THE MYSTERY BOOKSTORE in Westwood. Aspiring mystery authors, Tony and Kevin read from TECHNO NOIR, a collection of short mystery stories edited by Eva Batonne and Jeff Marks. And mystery author, Ron, read from RESURRECTION DIVA, Eva's Joan Lambert novel, a police procedural set in Los Angeles against the backdrop of the Hollywood underbelly and the glamour of the movie and music industry.
Understanding "the character, "the beat" and "the tone" as well as the practice of diction and eye contact with the audience were accomplished during the workshop to great results. Everybody left with a smile on their face.
Now, that she is ecstatic about her MYSTERY BOOKSTORE experience, Eva is running a promotion. If you go to the MYSTERY BOOKSTORE on Broxton in Westwood and buy either book, TECHNO NOIR or RESURRECTION DIVA, you can win any one of a bevy of prizes, including lunch with the author at your favorite restaurant.
Eva's next Joan Lambert novel will include an unusual forage into the underpinnings of the art world in the search of a particular victim, a kidnapped healer and spiritual leader.
