There's talk going on that CBS is thinking about rebooting the old '70's cop show 'Hawaii Five-O.' J.J. Abrams (the latest Star Trek movie,) is being mentione being involved--so it has the potential of having a good prduction qualities to it.

But who'll play the head role Jack Lord (I think that was his name) had as the lead? Like all other reboots, you gotta sit back and take the wait-and-see attitude. It might work. It might not.

I agree with IJ--why bring Hawaii Five-O lurching back from the dead when they've got John's show in the can, ready to go. It's all this recycling of mediocre ideas that's killing the networks and the movie biz, IMO.

It's success will be 90% of its casting. And here's my vote on who takes the Jack Lord role--Kurt Russell. But it ain't gonna happen.

Can't say I liked Hawaii Five-O all that much, especially not Jack Lord. So my vote goes to John's show.

Yes, the corporate world is an entity few can figure out.

I'm torn. On one hand I'd like to see a new Hawaii Five-O and on the other hand CBS is sitting on the show I was a writer for and not putting in their line-up anytime soon.

TV is a wild and wacky place.
