I do appologize for my delay in posting to this site. My computer is sick you see. I call her Minerva. She shares a name with a character in one of my stories. Anyway my computer has been in bed all day with a terrible cough and high fever. Her doctor wrote her a prescription for Norton which I had filled but she hasn't responded to that either.
Lucky for me I am so paranoid that I have about 3 different copies of my work stashed away in case something like this should happen.
I haven't been published as of yet. I'm waiting for responses from a handful of lit mags including Suspense Magazine. Meanwhile I am plowing ahead with a short story that chose me a few nights ago.
About me, Well I am a writer and I behave like one preferring to spend my days inside, alone with Minerva or a good book or a good Noir film. I just finished reading John Grisham's the Confession which was a good book. I just wish it had been a little bit more character oriented versus procedure oriented. I would've liked to have gotten to know Donte Drumm a little bit better since the entire book was about him. I still love Grisham's style. I just finished watching The Big Sleep with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, the prerelease version and the version the public saw. it was a good movie but I am still confused. If there it anyone here who has seen it and can explain it to me, please do.
Looking to make a few good friends and discuss some truly twisted crime and hopefully come up with a few good ideas of my own. Nearly every story I write comes to me through something I saw, something as simple as a trash can parked haphazardly on a lawn, someone I met, this is my favorite way to concoct something new, or something I did.
A good writer can write anything is my mantra.
