Just created a new book trailer for A KILLER WORKOUT

Reposted it with different background color on the slides. I think red on blue was too hard to read.

I'm so stoked--I spent all afternoon and just finished creating my own home-made book trailer for A KILLER WORKOUT and uploaded it to YouTube. Check it out! Do you guys think that opening picture is too racy? I'm going to do one now for the first book.

I'll see what I can do, and see if I can remember the editing lessons from film school. ;)

I'll send a copy to you via e-mail.

That's neat! I was just browsing over at istockphoto and looking at stock video they have. Potentially one could splice in stock video as well I assume. I'm spending so much money on stock photos as it is I'll probably have to wind up getting a subscription. Just browsed over to your blog and posted a comment about Number Six! Sad news! My direct email btw is keslilley@yahoo.com

It's no problem.

I just got that Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Premiere package and I'm jumping at any excuse to practice.

That'd be so great, DR if you would like to!
What a nice offer! I was going to try to attach my latest edits but can't figure out how to do it on Crimespace. Here's a link to it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_XabJftAD8 The thing I love about YouTube is that it's so dynamic--I posted something yesterday, then took it down and put something else right back up. Great fun! Let me know if you need more info or anything. Thanks again!

That could work. I'm guessing one of the themes of this is the dehumanizing effect the pursuit of physical perfection can have, so shots like that in a quick montage, with the right music could do the trick. I could take this shot, dig up a few others and slap something together if you like. Adobe Premiere has a few more tricks up its sleeve than the average windows movie maker.

I found an ab shot (with clothes, grin).

It's really fun to work with this stuff. But I'm like a bull in a china shop 'cause I don't know what I'm doing!

Perhaps a quick montage of 6-pack abs, lean muscular limbs, and overly perfect chests. Perhaps with some color shifting type effects over them to make everything seem familiar, yet unsettling. Like people being reduced to their component parts, and not people. You'd have to try it out first and see what it looks like.

Thanks, DR! Do you think just replacing that first image with something tamer would be correct?

While I'm not complaining, some might get the wrong impression from the opening picture.

I studied film in university, and I just got the Adobe Premiere video editing software, so if you need any help with the editing or anything I'd be glad to lend a hand.
