Memorial Day greetings

Memorial Day is the kind of holiday that begs us to make a powerful statement, but I
think all the important things have already been said. Thomas Campbell said that
the patriot's blood is the seed of Freedom's tree. Joseph Campbell told us that
a hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than
oneself. Aaron Kilbourn said that the dead soldier's silence sings our national
anthem. And it was Maya Angelou who reminded us how important it is for us to
recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!
