Re-Defining Plagiarism

This is wrong in so many ways I don't know where to start.

Ouch! 17 years old and absolutely no sense of honor, probity, self-respect or respect for others! What in the world did she do to win an award? Will she share it with the author she took material from? Did the awards committee decide that she handled the material so very much better than the original author that the improvement had to be celebrated?

It reminds me again of someone's line in the Macmillan e-book squabble: "They're only books!" And that, of course, translates to "They are only the people who wrote them."
