I published my first book, Code of Deceit, in 2007, and I was fortunate enough to have it hit several best-seller lists. I followed that one with Journey of the Spirit—now renamed The People’s Warrior. This one, a historical fiction did fairly well. It was even voted second best in the mainstream category by readers.

Then In 2008, I published Cold Tears. This book exceeded all my expectations, and I have high ones. Voted the best mystery in the world, the sales and accolades piled up. This was a book my editor said I could never write a better one.

With the intent to prove her wrong, I published one more, but then a sad part of life got into my way—I developed cancer and this curtailed my writing.

I was not only determined that cancer was not going to kill me, but wouldn’t stop me from writing. After recovery, I again published a few books—some that has done better than others.

About the time I was again hitting my stride, cancer again reared its head.

Again, I was just as determined to beat it as I ever was. When I found out about the disease, I had two books already written.

Also, a trail was approaching Lufkin and East Texas that interested me a lot. However, this wasn’t just any trial. Female serial killers are rare, and this trial would be about a female serial killer and the most unique crime in the world. Her weapon of choice was injecting dialysis patients with bleach.

Never in history had anyone been accused of killing and/or harming people with bleach.

I had a dilemma on my hands. I had two books that I was really excited about, but knew I would not be able to get out and promote them. Especially with the trail taking place, and all the work I would have to do to write a true crime—something I had never done before and didn’t know how.

I also knew I would have to undergo cancer treatments.

I made a decision, one that I do not regret, to do eBooks only with the two romantic suspenses I had. One was titled Unbalanced and many people believe it is the best book I have written. As a matter of fact, quite a few people have told me that Unbalanced is without a doubt the best.

When people tell me that, I like to smile and say, “I really like unbalanced, I think it is a very good book—maybe the best I have written, but you haven’t read Paradox yet.

Paradox comes out in June of 2013 and I don’t think it is the best fiction I have written—I know it is. This is a fantastic book. Wait and see…. :-)

Unfortunately for Paradox, this book gets lost in the scheme of things. It is overshadowed by Killer Nurse, my first true crime—one the entire world is waiting on. Killer Nurse comes out in August of 2013 and it is something.

The world has been waiting on it, but it is worth the wait.
