Terrible tv theme music

Remember the theme music (for all of you old enough to remember the series ) of Peter Gunn? How about Magnum, P.I.? Anyone remember T.H.E. Cat series?

Now take the theme song for the current NCIS series. Without a doubt the worst theme music ever! If the idea that the theme music help's make a series a success. . . then you have to say NCIS is an outstanding success to overcome the theme music it claims as its own!

But what to replace it with? Any suggestions? (Remember, CSI-Miami uses a lot of commerical stuff).

I liked HSB. But I can't say it was my No. 1 hit. For me it's a toss-up between Nash Bridges and Magnum P.I.

MIke Post was the best. Don't forget my favorite of the bunch, Hill Street Blues. Didn;t sound anything like a cop show, which was great, because HSB wasn't like any cop show anyone had seen to that point.
