Not quite mystery, though it contains one, this is a departure of sorts for me into action territory.  I do like certain thrillers, and I like historical fiction that takes wars seriously and is character-driven.  This book is about Hachiro, an orphan and street kid who has a dream of becoming a great swordsman.
