Mike, I'll have to see about getting you on my group's book discussion list. I believe we're covered 'til Jan. or Feb. 2010 but should be open after that. I'll let you know...as well as other authors here.
I often wonder what psychological need causes people to both read such violence or write it. There are so many who partake of such entertainment that I'm sure I must be in the minority.
I just got a review from the Sentinel on "Along Came A Fifer"-
Phillips, a Pennsylvania resident, does a fine job with his first mystery novel. The characters are relatable and dynamic. The novel has everything a mystery needs — humor, deception, unrequited love and, well, a good old-fashioned mystery.
